Enlisted August 14, 1862, at Rushford, to serve three years; mustered in as Private, Company D, October 16, 1862; captured in action, October 14, 1863 at Bristow Station, VA; paroled, no date; mustered out with Company, July 14, 1865.

He is buried in White Cemetery, Rushford, Allegany County, NY.
