Chauncey P. Joslin: Company A, 64th Regiment, NY State Volunteers. Age 23 years. Enlisted September 7, 1861, at Gowanda, to serve three years; mustered in as Private, Co. A, September 20, 1861; discharged for disability, December 16, 1862, at New York City.

His gravestone reads:

Co. A 64th Reg
at Versailles NY Jan 12th 1863 of disease contracted in the seven days fight before Richmond
Ae 24 yrs
The man dies: the patriot lives evermore

He is buried at Maplewood Cemetery, Springville, Erie County, NY.
