Alfred Marsh: Company B, 64th Regiment, NY State Volunteers. Age: 31 years. Enrolled August 17, 1861 at Randolph, to serve three years; mustered in as Corporal, Co. B, September 7, 1861; wounded in action, June 1, 1862, at Fair Oaks, VA; July 2, 1863, at Gettysburg, PA; promoted Sergeant, April 19, 1864; wounded in action, May 12, 1864, at Spotsylvania, VA; mustered out, September 6, 1864, near Petersburg, VA.

Commissioned, not mustered, 2nd Lieutenant, November 30, 1864, with rank from September 21, 1864, vice F.C. Jones promoted.

He captured the colors of the 44th Virginia Infantry and was awarded the Medal of Honor.

He is buried at St Patricks Cemetery, Randolph, Cattaraugus County, NY.
