If a surname shows as a link, the link will take you to a photo of the gravestone for the man.

The information in the cemetery listing was compiled by Donald A. Stevens, Sr and his wife Carolyn Stevens.

Please note: If you know the burial site of any 64th member or any New York veteran in the Civil War (of any Regiment), we would be most grateful if you would let us know. Please contact Donald Stevens at or Barbara van Vlack at

Note from Donald A. Stevens about the project that he and his wife started 16 years ago:

"Do you realize that there are at least two veterans buried at Gettysburg from the 64th New York Infantry who are buried as unknowns? Do you realize that we (Don and Carolyn) have found 432 of the men who were in the 64th Regiment and can account for them? This is how we got into this in the first place. After visiting Gettysburg, we realized that for every veteran we found, it was one closer to knowing who was missing. Some conclusions could then be drawn as to who they were. Would it not be great that we could say one day that we can account for every member of this regiment? We are closer now than we were sixteen years ago. If we work together, we will one day be able to say, every member of the 64th is present and accounted for. A promise will have been kept."

If you know where a 64th Regiment member is buried, please share the information.

NOTE: There are some duplications of names. Some of the men have more than one gravestone - such as one on the battlefield or one in a National Cemetery and/or one in his family plot.
