Ezra W. Kendall

Ezra W. Kendall: Company D, 64^th Regiment, NY State Volunteers. Age - 25 years. Enrolled at Rushford on September 13, 1861 to serve three years; mustered in as Sergeant, Co. D on September 24, 1861. Promoted to Second Lieutenant on February 26, 1862; killed in action June 1, 1862 at Fair Oaks, VA

Buried in Centerville Cemetery, Allegany Co., NY.

NOTE: listed on the stone with Ezra is his brother Ferris E. Kendall. He spent 4 months in Bell Isle prison, one year at Andersonville prison and died at home. Ferris was not in the 64th Regiment.
