
Sylvester Frank
: Company I, 64th Regiment, NY State Volunteers. Age - 18 years. Enlisted September 18, 1861 at Allegany to serve three years. Mustered in as Private, Co. I on October 31, 1862. Discharged for disability on November 29, 1862 at Falmouth, VA.Sylvester re-enlisted in Co. B, 61st Regiment, NY State Volunteers on Sept. 30, 1864 and he was discharged on June 14, 1865.
Sylvester was the son of Daniel and Catherine (Multer) Frank. He was born in 1845 in East Otto, Cattaraugus Co., NY.
He married Fanny Leveridge on August 18, 1873 in Great Valley, Cattaraugus Co., NY. They had 4 children:

2. Grace M. Newland, b. Jan. 18, 1882
3. George Edward, b. June 6, 1884
4. Bertha, b. Nov. 4, 1888
Sylvester died May 1, 1925 and is buried in Mt. View Cemetery, Olean, Cattaraugus Co., NY
