Daniel Frank

Daniel Frank: Company I, 64^th Regiment, NY State Volunteers. Age - 43 years*. Enlisted September 18, 1861 at Allegany to serve three years; mustered in as Private, Co. I, October 31, 1861. Discharged for disability February 7, 1862 at Camp California, VA

Daniel was the son of John and Margrete (Gerlach) Frank. He was born in 1815 in Herkimer Co., NY

He married Catherine Multer in 1835 in Ashford, Cattaraugus Co., NY. They had 8 children:

2. Sylvester, b. 1845 (Sylvester was in Co. I of the 64^th Regiment, NYSVI and Co. B of the 61^st Regiment, NYSVI)
3. Mary E., b. 1846
4. Clark, b. 1849

7. Charles C., b. 1858
8. Henry M., b. 1862

* - Daniel's age is listed as being 43 years when he enlisted in 1861. His gravestone says that he was born in 1815.

Daniel died Dec. 3, 1867 and is buried in Killbuck Cemetery, Great Valley, Cattaraugus Co., NY.
