Sign above tea set states:

"Three pieces of a Silverplate tea set, presented by the 64th New York Volunteers to Ellizabeth Bittues Manley. Each piece of the service is engraved 64th N.Y., EBM and then with the battle in which the 64th participated. The teapot is marked Malvern HIll, the cream pitcher, Fredericksburg and teh sugar bowl with lid, Antietam. John Manley, son of John and Elizabeth Manley, was a 1st Lt and then Captain in the 64thRegiment. John Manley [father] served with the Department of Interior in Washington during the War and assisted the Regiment. In gratitude, its men presented this service to Mrs. Manley."

"The tea set is in a private collection at a Civil War museum outside of the Antietam Battlefield - in a restored farmhouse called Newcomer House."
