Willis G. Babcock

Willis G. Babcock: Company H and C, 64^th Regiment, NY State Volunteers. Age, 20 years. Enrolled, October 6, 1861, at Owego, to serve three years; mustered in as Sergeant, Company H, November 4, 1861; as Second Lieutenant, July 26, 1862; promoted First Lieutenant, Company G, September 19, 1862, and mustered in as such March 2, 1863; killed in action, July 2, 1863, at Gettysburg, PA.

Commissioned Second Lieutenant, August 28, 1862, with rank from July 26, 1862, vice Leroy C. Hewitt, died of wounds received in action; First Lieutenant, November 17, 1862, with rank from September 19, 1862, vice H.C. Loomis resigned.
