: Company F, 64th Regiment, NY State Volunteers. Age - 20 years. Enlisted August 30, 1861 at Randolph to serve three years; mustered in as Musician, Company F, September 10, 1861; wounded in action June 1, 1862 at Fair Oaks, VA; transferred as Private to Company G on September 9, 1864; promoted drum major, June 1, 1865; mustered out with Regiment on July 14, 1865 near Washington, DC.References: "Adjutant General's Report, 1901" .

The above photos (photo of man and photo of gravestone) may not be correct for the Charles M. Furman who is listed in the Adjutant General's Report.
Gravestone states his name was Charles Farman and that he was in the 64th Regiment. Gravestone shows that he was in Company B and per Adjutant General's Report, "Charles M. Furman" was in Company F and G. Charles M. Furman is the only "Furman" listed in the Adjutant General's Report for the 64th Regiment and there is no "Charles Farman" listed. One source referred to the man in the photo as "Judson Farman or Judson Mesler". There was a "Charles Farmer" in the 94th Regiment but the gravestone shown here clearly shows "64" as being the Regiment Charles was in rather than 94th.
