A, September 20, 1861; wounded in action, June 1, 1862, at Fair Oaks, VA; promoted Corporal, March 9, 1863; captured in action, July 3, 1863, at Gettysburg, PA; paroled, no date; promoted Sergeant, Februay 1, 1864; re-enlisted as veteran, February 19, 1864; promoted 1st Sergeant, July 18, 1864; Sergeant-Major, August 7, 1864; mustered in as 1st Lieutenant, September 24, 1864; as Captain, Co. B, October 20, 1864; transferred to Co. E, January 1, 1865; wounded in action, April 7, 1865, at Farmville, VA; died of his wounds April 11, 1865, near Barksville, VA.Commissioned 1st Lieutenant, September 16, 1864, with rank from August 25, 1864, vice H. Thompson resigned; Captain, November 2, 1864, with rank from October 20, 1864, vice H.N. Hunt mustered out.
