George M. Bascom

George M. Bascom: Company I, 64^th Regiment, NY State Volunteers. Age 24 years. Enrolled, September 9, 1861, at Allegany, to serve three years; mustered in as Corporal, Col. I, September 10, 1861; promoted Sergeant, June 1, 1862; 2^nd Lieutenant, September 20, 1862; discharged for disability, April 20, 1863.

Commissioned 2^nd Lieutenant, October 11, 1862, with rank from September 20, 1862, vice W.C. Bockhoven, promoted.

Buried in VA Hospital Cemetery, Bath, Steuben County, NY
